| Dedicated Server |
A larger customer may prefer a dedicated server or we may feel that a customer will consume more than their fair share of system resources if they were on a shared server. Consequently we would only allow them to use a dedicated server.
Dedicated servers can be rented or purchased by a customer, but the hardware will always be supplied by PRIAM Hosting. This ensures the server specification is exactly as required.
With dedicated servers we can also provide graphical statistics on CPU, memory and disk usage if required by the customer.
Standard features:
Database hosted on a dedicated Server
Setup of 4 x TCP/IP ports (MuSrv & ZMGWSI)
20GB Database
5GB File Storage
Daily backup to a remote PRIAM backup location
Configuration of 4 printers within PRIAM
Shadow Server
Optional Extras:
+2 TCP/IP Ports
+10GB Database (up to m21 Maximum)
+5GB File Storage
+1 Printer Configuration
Credit Card Authorisation via TCP/IP
The setup of a dedicated server is very similar to a shared server, the main difference being the amount of disk space available. A 20GB database should be sufficient although additional space will always be available.
A dedicated server will always have a dedicated shadow server. In the event of a database / server failure, the shadow server will be switched without the customer having to do anything at all.
